Monthly Rose Show

Beginning with the July meeting, we will be having a Monthly Rose Show at our regular society meetings through and including the October meeting.  All members are invited to participate!

The roses will be judged and points awarded on the following scale:  5 points for blue, 3 points for red and 1 point for yellow.  We will also select the best entry from each rose classification and the winners will get a bonus of 5 points.  At the conclusion of the October meeting, a Grand Champion will be designated based on the total points awarded over all of the monthly competitions.  The Grand Champion will be honored at the annual banquet in December.

RULES OF COMPETITION

1.      All blooms must have been grown in exhibitor’s own private outdoor garden.  Only one person or team from any one garden may enter a class.

2.      Exhibitors are allowed to have 6 entries total, however no more than two in any one class of competition.

3.      The use of wedges is permitted.

4.      Exhibitors are encouraged to provide their own vases if possible as only a limited supply will be available on a first come basis.

5.      Entries will be accepted from 6:30 to 7:00 pm prior to the start of the monthly meeting.
