THE ARS BRONZE MEDAL The American Rose Society established the ARS Bronze Medal in the Spring of 1994. The purpose of the medal is to recognize outstanding and meritorious service at the local Society level. Recipients must be an active member of the American Rose Society. The honoree must have demonstrated outstanding contributions to our society as well as the American Rose Society. It is the highest award that can be bestowed upon a member of the Tri-State Rose Society of Chattanooga. Our honoree for 2007 is Nora Faulkenberry and she has been an active member of this society for many years. For the past two years, Nora has diligently served as our society Secretary. In addition to her duties as Secretary, Nora has graciously printed and folded the copies of "Basal Breaks" that we continue to mail to our members without email. She has also made copies of materials that were distributed at society meetings or other functions. She is an active member and has always been supportive of society activities including seminars, rose shows, and our pruning demonstrations. Nora has been a faithful member of our society and she has devoted her time and skills without reservation to help us grow and spread the word about our great hobby of growing roses. It is our distinct honor and pleasure to present the ARS Bronze Medal from the American Rose Society and the Tri-State Rose Society of Chattanooga to Nora Faulkenberry.
