2011 Bronze Medal Winner

The American Rose Society established the ARS Bronze Medal in the spring of 1994.  The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding and meritorious service at the local Society level.  A recipient must be an active member of the American Rose Society.  The honoree must have demonstrated outstanding contributions to our society as well as the American Rose Society.  It is the highest award that can be bestowed upon a member of the Tri-State Rose Society of Chattanooga.

At our annual banquet in December, President Rick Sharpe awarded the 2011 Bronze Medal to Clayton Beaty.  Rick noted that Clayton has been an active member of our society for several years and has given his time and talent without reservation to help us grow better roses.  Clayton has also been instrumental in getting roses donated from the various suppliers for the garden at Veterans Park.  He also provides us with all the fertilizer we need for the park.  Congratulations, Clayton!
