We are a non-profit organization affiliated with the American Rose Society.  The purpose of the society is to encourage and create interest in the growing of roses, and to foster a better understanding of their cultivation.

ARS & You


Regular monthly meetings are held the fourth Thursday of every month except May (our annual picnic), November and December (annual banquet).  Meetings start promptly at 7 p.m.  Our meetings are held at the North River Civic Center, 1009 Executive Drive, Suite 102, Hixson (behind the post office at Northgate Mall).  Visitors are always welcome!

April 24, 2014 Dave Johnson, the new Weeks Roses representative for our area, will be our guest speaker.  He will talk about what is happening at Weeks Roses including recently introduced roses and planned new roses for 2015.
May 22, 2014 Our annual picnic
June 26, 2014 Dr. Ray Cloyd will be our guest speaker.  Ray is a Professor and Extension Specialist in Horticultural Entomology/Integrated Pest Management at Kansas State University.  He has been with us several times and his talks are always very informative and entertaining.  He's our favorite bug guy!
